See What?

As I write, I'm watching a "Dateline" special called "Did You See That?" They have similar-looking people act in set-up situations such as speed dating and clerking at a store, and they arrange to change places with each other in the middle of an interaction with someone. Many of the clients don't notice that the person they were just talking to changed places with someone else. Apparently, we aren't playing close enough attention to the world around us.

But Oliver is. Do you see what he's holding?

Neither did we, until we looked closer. He found a hair, a blonde hair, on his high chair tray, and it gave him more fascination than any amount of macaroni, chicken and peaches could ever offer. Which is fine. The kid needs more fiber in his diet.
